“Just In The Way They Carry Themselves”

May 8th, 2013

No. 5 is feeling and liking the new vibe around the Bucs locker room, and he explained as such to TampaBay.com author Stephen Holder yesterday.

Josh Freeman didn’t detail the vibe, though it’s got him jacked up and it’s coming from former outsiders.

“I’m definitely fired up about this team, top to bottom, all the way around,” Freeman said. “I haven’t had a chance to meet all the rookies and free agents, but the addition of (Darrelle) Revis and (Dashon) Goldson, you can see (something) in those guys just in the way they carry themselves around the locker room. I’m fired up.”

Forget about the All-Pro skills of Revis and Goldson for a moment, the Bucs bought themselves some big-time leadership. Joe’s glad to see they’re already having an effect.

The only true swagger coming from the field on Dale Mabry Highway in recent years has been from the Bucs cheerleaders. Joe sincerely hopes that’s going to change immediately.

you know what they say, If you can’t draft leaders, you better buy them!

Realist makes a good point here. We signed good free agents. Obviously a sign of a bad GM.

How dare you talk about the cheerleaders like that Joe.

I am sick and tired of your constant anti-cheerleader, low key hatred for cheerleaders.

yea right, The Redskins have been practicing that method for years and they sucked for a long time because of it. only now that they have been drafting better are they having any kind of success.

I am definitely more excited about this upcoming football season for the Bucs than I have been in a long while. Our weakest link, our secondary, was dealt with in a serious way through free agency and the draft and we should no longer be the laughing stock of the NFL. If Freeman simply manages the game and avoids the bunches of costly turnovers (sack fumbles, interceptions) then the Bucs will contend for our division and a playoff birth. Keep your fingers crossed folks as we need to avoid the injury bug which has devastated us the last few years. Go Bucs!

    Andrew1,

Are you refering to the same Red Skins that hired: Bruce Allen as their GM, or Raheem as the D-backs coach, or even just signed EJ Biggers in FA?

Were those the same Redskins that came to Tampa and beat us last year? The same ones that won the NFC East?

We ae going to the playoffs this year, we have the attitude, swagger, and TALENT!

surprised there was not more depth to the conversation than “you can see in those guys”……I would think he would be closer to them and have more substance than “you can see”

jfro should be locked at their hip trying to learn that swagger, cause he damn sure needs to learn it.

mr. golley, gee, whiz what happened on that play. jfro does not have the “fire in the belly”

On Mike turner,NFL AM aka man channel were just talking best fit for him and Eric Davis said the Bucs because we just got rid of Blount.I think he would be great for us on short yardage or 5 carries a game.

  19. BucoBruce Says:

I was really impressed with Glennon on Gruden camp.

  20. stevek Says:

I like the leaders Dom brought in, honestly what else could we ask for?

Johnthan Banks, Revis, and Goldson. Our secondary is a lot better now.

We know have that “edge” attitude wise, and by bringing in some of these intense leaders, I thoroughly expect a damn good season.

We are going to win some games this year, bunches.

Though not nfl tested yet, I think Mike James can do what Turner could do at this stage of his career. I could see him in ATL since they lost Chris Ivory, imo
