Goldson: I Have No Problem Competin’

April 25th, 2013

You want to hear a confident Buccaneer? Take a listen to the audio cut below of Dashon Goldson chatting on the Buccaneers Radio Network tonight via WDAE-AM 620.

Goldson gets into his choice of the Buccaneers in free agency, how he talked Xs and Os with Bucs coaches before signing, and how he is more than ready to take on the beastly receivers of the NFC South.

The entire interview with former Bucs tight end Dave Moore and Ronnie Lane is below.

    Joe, doubters, Tavon Austin Haters,

Good pick up for the Rams.

Tavon Austin on turf is scary.

Has Eifert been drafted yet? Just curious to all the “know it alls”.

Joe- did you say that drafting Tavon Austin with the # 13 pick was “matt Millen” like? No sir, you are wrong.

    Joe,

off subject on this post but I have a comment and a question. I think the Bucs bringing in Kevin Olgetree and Steve smith could have a great upside, Olgetree is only 25 and could be a decent addition. We all know what Steve smith is capable of if he can stay healthy, but I do not understand even given the connection between Belicheat and Schiano why the bucs did not make a play for Brandon LLoyd? He had some dropped balls last season but still caught 74 passes for 911 yards. I think he would be a great addition to Vjax and Mike Williams, he is a consistent player and would defiantly be a triple threat. Would love to hear your thoughts. I enjoy your site thanks!

Jets take Milner (sp) at 9! Lol

We got the better end of that!

Stevek, I would say Revis is better than Austin…so what’s it matter? Besides..Austin still has to prove he was worth that pick.

  4. Andrew H. Says:

Tavon would have never made it to us. This is the biggest crapshoot of a draft I’ve ever seen. Milliner to the Jets. One hurt CB to replace another…I still bet on a hobbled Revis over half the league and our couch potato replacement secondary last year.

Eifert’s going to the Jets if they don’t trade back with the 13th pick.

Look for the Buc’s to make a play moving up in the first round if a stud DT slips or Ertz/Escobar are still available early in the 2nd.

    Bonzai,

Just proving my point, and showing all the DOUBTERS that Tavon Austin is a better talent than Eifert. I just want to hear any and all explanations from the Tavon Austin doubters.

I would much rather have Revis.

We surely got the best end of that deal.

  6. stevek Says:

Maybe we can trade up for Eifert, and it is a win?

Star is still out there, I really hope we do something crazy and get back in the early twenties/late teens.

  7. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

I am half expecting a trade up for DT…but as unpredictable as Dom is, he may well surprise us all and go after OT.

  8. Couch Fan Says:

We would of had our pick of floyd/star/richardson. I’ll take Revis over all of them but dam.. any of those 3 would of been nice next to McCoy

  9. stevek Says:

Star vs. Nicks, two big boys rumbling in the trenches.

  10. stevek Says:

    Vaccaro to the Saints.

  11. Couch Fan Says:

Wow EJ Manuel a 1st round pick. Thats even more of a surprise than Ponder being picked at 12.

  12. Kansasbuc Says:

We need to trade up to get Shariff out of Florida. THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!

  13. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

I predicted a bunch of guys would fall…but even I didn’t see guys like Floyd dropping so far.

  14. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

Watch 22nd pick closely Bucs fans. We could see our trade there.

  15. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

Wow…Kyle Long was projected as a 3rd-4th rounder

  16. Couch Fan Says:

Theres going to be some good players left for us tomorrow. Can’t wait to see who we get!!

  17. Kryq Says:

Feeling bad Geno Smith ! But we need to trade for Floyd !!

  18. Mitch Says:

    Atlanta drafted trufant….damnit

  19. Cbell96825 Says:

Scheffter is tipping picks if you want to hear the commish make pick watch nfl network

  20. PRBucFan Says:

If we really wanted a guy we would have done it, it just doesn’t seem that we desired to move up.

    Alot of value picks left…

    Geno maybe??? Lol

  21. Brian Says:

    @PR mantai or Honey Badger

  22. lurker Says:

also, the price was high. the vikings gave up picks No. 52, No. 83, No. 102 and No. 229 in 2013 to move back into the first. the bucs had higher picks in said rounds, but it might have taken 3 picks to move into the first. however, i have not looked at the trade value chart.

  23. fridgebob Says:

Neither Auston nor Eifert have played a single snap in the NFL. They aren’t on the Bucs. And besides, it’s like comparing apples and oranges.

The Bucs will not spend a 2nd or 3rd on players with questionable ethics. 4th or 5th, maybe. Big maybe.

  24. stevek Says:

    fridgebob,

You are right, right, and right.

However, numerous folks and “pundits”, and Joe(s), said “Eifert is hands down a better prospect, and Tavon Austin will not be drafted before him…. Only a Matt Millen type GM/ fantasy football guru would take a tiny slot WR that early”- Joe and others refering to our 13th pick.

Tavon went 9th overall, and Eifery went 21st, just saying.
