Te’o-Nesheim Gets A Contract

March 9th, 2013

The Bucs defensive end desperately in need of a nickname, Daniel Te’o-Nesheim, has been offered a restricted free agent tender offer by the Bucs.

It’s the lowest possible tender that will score him $1.3 million in 2013, per BSPN, and it’s unlikely another club will come calling.

If another team signed Te’o-Nesheim away, it would have to give the Bucs a third-round draft pick, and that’s not likely to happen.

Te’o-Nesheim was a rockstar general manager Mark Dominik plucking from the Eagles practice squad midway through the heinous 2011 season.

He’s no superstar, but the guy did start 14 games for Adrian Clayborn on the best run-stuffing line in the NFL, notched four sacks, and stayed healthy. Te’o-Nesheim is a young, effort player, and the Bucs rewarded his work.

DEPTH is good! Especially with Bowers situation.

I am still confused over the Bowers arrest. I think he did the right thing. Made a mistake owned up to it. He did not brandish the weapon nor did he try and SNEAK it on the plane. He made a mistake and tried to correct the mistake the right way and is getting blasted for it. I know Gun laws and politics are a NO – NO on boards that being said Bowers did the right thing. He was honest with authorities and tried to fix it. In the majority of other state he is a positive example on how to deal with mistake. Anyhow, I think he is a good person and a class act who made a simple mistake. Please liberals and anti gun folks keep your comments to yourself this is not about guns, it’s about a man who made a mistake who went to authorities and got blasted for it. I think Lynyrd Skynyrd said it best – That aint my America!!!

    Go Bucs!!!!

Gratz Daniel! Glad to know you are a Buccaneer! I though you showed real flash as an edge rusher! With a real secondary- you’d be sacking lots of QBs

Lynyrd Skynrd also said hand guns are made for killin, they aint no good for nuthin else! and why dont we dump those people to the bottom of the sea. not starting anything, skynyrd seemed to have conflicting ideas about guns. GO BUCS!!

Congrats to Te’o glad to have him back. Now lets sign Bennett and we have a good set of DE to again work with. Do we draft a new DE in first 3 rds? If so we can have great depth here.
A gun is just a tool, like a hammer or an ax. They all do nothing until a human picks them up and uses them. For good or evil.

Mentioned him yesterday. I feel the Bucs will bring him along like they did Bennett and one of the reasons we will not overpay Bennett

tmaxcon, I think you hit it on the head, Bowers IS a good guy, and considering his mistake, he DID do the right thing, and I’m with you on libs trying to use this like the political opportunist they are, bottom line is Bowers is one of our best lineman that is on the verge of coming into his own, you can clearly see it in his play, he’s a multi-tool DE that shows flashes of Reggie White abilities, so I can live without Bennett, however I’d like to see the Bucs keep him and rotate the two to keep them fresh.

    Good depth
