Jamon Meredith Dinged Up

November 14th, 2012

Though there’s no word about how severe this is, it sure looked ugly to Joe.

Just as the Tampa Bay pen and mic club was let into the Bucs locker room today, Jamon Meredith was hustled out of the Bucs locker room by Bucs staff. He had his left foot taped up and was on crutches, hobbling noticeably.

In simple terms, there’s no way he could have stepped on a football field this afternoon in the shape he was in.

Per a trusted Bucs source, it is not known how severe Meredith’s injury is or his availability for the Panthers game.

Of course, Meredith was part of the chorus of backups the Bucs have started at offensive line due to the injuries to Carl Nicks, Davin Joseph and the benching of Jeremy Trueblood.

So would Trueblood be the only option left? What bad luck with injury the O-line is having, geez.

    Poop!

  3. Bucnjim Says:

    Is there anyone left?

    Adversity, here we come!

    Next man up!

    Is Derek Hardman still available?

  5. Joe Says:

Next man up? Either a guy who hasn’t played guard since high school (Jeremy Trueblood) or the immortal Roger Allen.

  6. Oahubuc Says:

Yikes! Are we going to dust off Truedud?

  7. Joe Says:

    Oahu:

Might be worse than that. Story coming shortly. Offensive line could be in very dire straights come Sunday.

  8. Oahubuc Says:

    Oh no…

  9. Have A Nice Day Says:

If Penn is hurt too I’m going to cry.

Why do I smell another IR victim?

I hope he is ok for Sunday and moving forward. He’s been a surprisngly solid player.

    Ian @ 620,

We need you to comeback and suit up! 🙂

Put down the hatorade and put your pads on, it is Panther week.

    Im on my way!

It might be time to pick up an almost washed up, veteran OL off the streets. At some point you go beyond developing younger talent and have to fight to keep your QB healthy.

    Jeff Otah available and healthy?

  15. Joe D. Says:

Any word on how? Worse? Did he block one of his own team mates again?

  16. Steven Says:

I like your site Joe, but I think journalists shouldn’t publish news like this…it likely gives the opponent a big advantage. There’s a reason Bucs staff tried to hide it…

    Steven:

Make sure you also take Greg Schiano to task for openly speaking about Jeremy Zuttah’s injury.

We’re talking football here , not plans for the Normandy invasion. Just a hunch but it would have taken one play for Carolina to figure out Meredith is hurt… if he plays.

You know now exactly what Joe knows.
