Bucs 36, Vikings 17

October 26th, 2012

How bout that high-powered Bucs offense!

How bout Donald Penn and Jared Allen squaring off WWF style!

Make no mistake, this was a massive Bucs win, against long odds on the road on a Thursday night against the previously undefeated-at-home Vikings. The Bucs are back in the mix at 3-4 and beatable Oakland up next in 10 days.

The New Schiano Order put the cowbell on Doug Martin tonight and rode the kid for 29 carries for 135 yards, and three catches for 79 yards. There were two TDs on the night for Martin, and he would not be denied in short yardage at the end zone.

Adrian Peterson carved up the Bucs, but it wasn’t enough. The Bucs’ pass defense and pass rush came to play, likely smiling from ear-to-ear after realizing Ponder would not be pulling any Drew Brees imitation tonight.

Major kudos to Ronde Barber.

Stick with Joe through the wee hours.

Now let’s get Dwayne Bowe in a trade with KC. Let’s make the O, go! Def will catch up next year!

Great game!! The team as a whole played lights out.

  3. Richard Says:

Over half of Peterson’s yards came on the long touchdown run when the Bucs were already up by 20. He got his yards, but it never really felt like he was killing us.

  4. snook Says:

Ronde is unbelievable. I just can’t believe how well he’s playing. Is he Mr Buccaneer?

  5. Pete Dutcher Says:

In the pregame, not one of those 5 guys gave us a chance to win. In the post game, 4 of 5 were saying things like how frightful, aggressive añd physical the Bucs are…and were saying that they might contend for a playoff spot.

This is recognition that will get our players named to the pro bowl because of the national stage.

Joe you said it Major Kudos to Ronde.

I really do love this Bucs team too. Win or lose, they have watching every snap again.

    Go Bucs!!!

Nice to see Martin really hitting the hole and staying on his feet. Until last week I was very unhappy with his performance. Seemed like he was pulling his knees up as soon as he got hit. Now he is running tough. Looks like Warrick Dunn in height, but muscular. Great to see. And Ronde! Nuf said. Josh making passes, Williams taking advantage of opportunities. Tiguan, V-Jacks. Nice to see a successful game.

Congrats to the Bucs on this road win against a good defense. Now if the football gods would just let Bennetts injury not be serious, it will be a great win! We can’t afford to lose anybody else!

We were up by 14 against the Giants and up 14 against the Saints. So tonight when we went up by 13, I was still a little worried. I don’t care what Deion said, this offense is scary! GREAT WIN…. I’ll be up with you JOE, in the Wee Hours….

First joe i gotta tell you that this is the first time commenting on your website. I love reading everything that you write. i am a long time tampa fan from a small town in the great state of new york. Does it seem to you that some if not alot of people dont want to give credit to where credits due? Mr. Prime Time Deion sanders seems like he has no love for what the bucs do. He called that one AP fumble a turnover, in my eyes thats a take away and not a turnover. Does not really mean that much. I still havent given up all hope on this season. Once they get this secondary figured out i think this team will be a real SB contender. Everything else seems to be going in a great direction. Keep bringing me great stuff to read Joe

    Anybody got Dave Wirth’s #?

  15. SkookumSmitty Says:

I think we may have ourselves a professional football team, here. They showed Martin on the sideline, and he even LOOKED like Dunn for a second, there. Except for his enormous NECK.

  16. espo Says:

We put up 36 on a pretty good Vikings defense and the first comment on here is suggesting a trade for a receiver. Amazing.

  17. Mitch Says:

JOE, just tell me Michael Bennett is ok and I’ll be happy.

  18. tommy Says:

good one fl boy!!! love it when we prove fools wrong! GO BUCS!!!

  19. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Does anyone still dare to say that we don’t look a million times better than last year?

This team weathered some heluva storms ( the loss of Davin,Daquan,Talib, AC all starters)and still fighting when they could folded, but instead choose to believe in their HC. Now the fruit of their labor is paying off. gotta love it ,oh yeah still the youngest team in the NFL. IT ONLY GETS BETTER!!
