“I Just Do Me”

August 6th, 2012

So what’s different in Greg Schiano’s defense for Gerald McCoy?

There’s a ton different overall defensively, explained Ronde Barber on Sirius NFL Radio today, but McCoy made it clear on NFL Radio he’s just going to be his old disruptive self playing the way he has been. McCoy also told Justin “The Commish” Pawlowski the same thing in an interview for 98.7 FM. “I just do me,” McCoy said of his role in the New Schiano Order.

Below is The Commish’s full interview from Saturday night.

Oh boy, Thomas is gonna have a field day with this. Thanks Joe, we were due for GMC post.

  2. BigMacAttack Says:

I have noticed his arms are much larger than they used to be. He looks considerably stronger than he did a couple years ago. I’d love to see him disrupt Drew Brees’ face and Cam Newton’s legs. I don’t hate Matty Ice as much as those two.

  3. BigMacAttack Says:

He may just become the best DT in the NFL………….. or ever. This guy is the real deal for sure.

  4. BigMacAttack Says:

He should have been the top pick in the Draft. Number 1 with a bullet,

  5. Brad Says:

@bigmac. Your really trying to aggravate Thomas. But in all seriousness. I predict McCoy to be a stud this year.

    Bigmacattack:
His arms are larger bc he has been “just doing him.”

Also, I am glad to see that you are back to drinking onMonday nights. Every training camp we hear these same stories, Gerald trained hard in San Diego, is returning on a mission, learned how to tackle, rededicated himself, figured it out, is asking opposing qb’s to slow down, fixed his pop Warner fundamentals bla bla bla bla bla.
There has been more pro-Gerald propaganda here than on Hitler in Nazi Germany.
Two years in: he is stuck at 3 sacks, 30 tackles, way to few stuffs, too many offsides, 2 DL stints, and he is limping again

  7. Thomas2.2 Says:

Gerald is always in tip-top condition for placement on the Disabled List. Now he is saying that a genetically weak back caused his bicep tears.

According to his previous coach, Joe’s coach of the year, it was pop Warner fundamentals. According to Gerald himself, he did not know how to tackle until he met Schiano.

Sounds like a 60 million investment to me.

Gerald always looks great when the opposition is in underwear.

  8. Thomas2.2 Says:

I challenge you all to read 2011 offseason, training camp and preseason articles on Gerald: exactly the same propaganda!

    Unfortunately, same result as 2010.

With Gerald, DL does not stand for the position he plays, it stands for the designation of his playing status the before the season ends (Disabled List) – history tells us.

2 biceps (DL), high ankle (missed Saints win), shoulder (missed 2011 preseason time) – in 2 seasons.

  9. Have A Nice Day Says:

He should be a beast this year.

  10. BigMacAttack Says:

They said he actually limped off the field today, but Thomas you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Your stories are all made up and not based on fact, only speculation and innuendo, McCoy will be a first ballot Hall of Famer for sure. He will be the next LeRoy Selmon, the absolute best Buc player ever. He is the definition of disruption.

  11. BigMacAttack Says:

    Head exploding in 3, 2, 1…….

  12. BigMacAttack Says:

    BTW, I’m stone cold sober.

  13. Kyle Says:

Trolling works both ways thomas, thanks for the laughs bigmac

  14. Canadabuc Says:

    I have no faith n Glass McCoy…..
He really needs to shut his yap and focus on football.
As of this point in time he is a bust……Until he proves differently

  15. Bobby Says:

    McCoy=Greatness McCoy =Dominance McCoy=Thomas’ Man Crush

  16. Bobby Says:

We don’t really care what anyone north of the border thinks. We play ‘real’ football down here.

  17. Snook Says:

Predicting wins and losses is a crapshoot. But saying that McCoy will get injured again this season is a given.

  18. Chad Says:

I don’t know if I’m excited by McCoy “Doing me” or bummed out. Just make some plays Gerald. PLEASE!!

  19. Hawaiian Buc Says:

I think if McCoy retired today he would already go down as the most disruptive DT in the history of the NFL. I would imagine they are already working on his bust for Canton. I’ve even heard that next year he is going to wear a hall of fame jacket on the sidelines, ala Chad Johnson. He doesn’t always sack quarterbacks, but when he does, they feel it. He is the most disruptive man in the world.

  20. Bobby Says:

He is definitely that Hawaiian. I will be their in Canton for that wonderful day. In GMC we trust!!!! Amen.

  21. Walter Says:

the sarcasm in here is astounding.

  22. robert Says:
