Faine Likely To Be Ready After The Bye Week

October 16th, 2011

Just an injury update here on center/captain Jeff Faine, who left the game with a bicep injury midway through today’s beating of the Saints.

After the game, Faine said there’s a slim chance he would return next Sunday in England but the likely scenario would have him back on the field in New Orleans on Nov. 6 to face the Saints.

Faine wasn’t too downtrodden and spoke warmly of the Bucs’ resiliency.

That picture with Caddy in the background makes me feel sorry for him. He was part of this rebuilding and now were getting results and hes stuck on a crappy rebuilding team again…. Poor guy

I can’t feel sorry for Caddy. He said way before FA that he wanted to test the waters this year. He never got a chance at it and wanted to see what was out there. I think that comment lead Dom to believe his full heart isn’t about T.B. and what we were doing.

Don’t get me wrong i miss him, and love him as a player/person. Bet he did say it.

I hate to say this about a guy who’s injured, but based off today and parts of last year, Zuttah is a better center, I’m sorry. His only mistake was actually a heads up play, trying to snap the ball when Saints were offside and refs just blew the call.

Faine may be a captain, but I feel he is the 2nd best center on the roster right now. We may be better without him, but I guess we’ll find out next week for sure.

Please tell me how and why we keep paying Millions for a little better than average center who has had a bicep injury every season for the past 3 season. Maybe if he was an elite center I could see the reason but he just is not elite, for me to be an elite center you have to play several 16 game seasons at an elite level. And I’m sorry to say from my view here in Flowery Branch Ga he has not been getting it done…..

@Leighroy you caught that too, I thought I was the only one who saw the Saints NT jump and then Zuttah snap the ball immediately. The refs were once again, HORRIBLE. They gave the Saints one TD with a truly terrible PI call, and I thought they were going to give them a second one on the last PI call, which was also a ludicrous call. Ahh, the NFL and it’s pet teams.
