Garcia = Victories

For some demented, hardcore Son of Bob lovers, Joe has a few numbers for you:

In Jeff Garcia’s (all too long) delayed return to the starting lineup, he had four completions over 20 yards, something that was invisible in recent games with Son of Bob.

Garcia was not sacked once. That’s not only a testament to the offensive line, which is gelling into one of the NFL’s best, that’s also a nod to Garcia’s mobility to escape trouble and move the chains.

The only thing Son of Bob moved when he got into trouble in the pocket was his bowels.

And the most important of all numbers: Garcia was not intercepted. Not once! Son of Bob was little more than an interception machine which killed drives and enabled teams to not just come back on the Bucs, but win the game.

Watching Garcia at quarterback was refreshing. Let’s hope for the Bucs’ sake that the next time any Bucs fan sees Son of Bob behind center, it’s wearing another team’s uniform.

With Garcia at QB, the Bucs are one of the best teams in the NFL.
